About Crowley Ridge State Park
The park is located in the wooded hills of northeastern Arkansas, known as Crowley Ridge, and its facilities include two fully equipped modern duplex cabins and campgrounds. The block and stone buildings, built in the 1930s by the Civil Defence, perfectly match the rustic warmth of the park.
Interpretative programs are offered here all year round - and a variety of outdoor activities for children and adults. It is just a few miles from where Benjamin Crowley's family first settled in the area.
The fully equipped duplex cabins have kitchen, dining room, bathroom, kitchenette, laundry, shower and bathroom. Also included are two campsites - one for camping and the other for picnicking and hiking.
Behind the cottages there is a barbecue area with a barbecue and picnic table, and there is a barbecue area with a barbecue and picnic tables. Group accommodation includes a picnic area, barbecue area and barbed wire telephone fence around the hut, as well as a hairdresser's shop.
The buildings are heated and air conditioned, and the entire complex is located on 31 hectares of fishing lake, with swimming pool, picnic area, barbecue area and barbed wire fence.
The area is available for rent all year round and can accommodate up to 60 people, and the fully equipped duplex cabins have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a living room. Also included is an outdoor dining area with ironing board, picnic area, barbecue area and barbed wire fence.

The entire complex is located on a 31 hectare fishing lake, and all buildings are heated and air conditioned. The building is heated, air conditioned, has an outdoor dining area with barbecue and picnic table, and a barbed wire fence.
This area can accommodate up to 60 people and can be rented all year round. It can be used for over 60 people. Group facilities include air-conditioned bunk cabins, picnic tables, a picnic area, an outdoor dining area with barbecue and picnic table and barbed wire fence, and an indoor pool.
Pets are welcome but pets are not allowed, and the park was once a place along the path called "Dancing Rabbit Arroyo" by the Indians. Spanish name for "arroyos," this deep gorge stands for the deep gorges of the San Joaquin River, an important source of irrigation and drinking water.
The trail leads hikers through the gorge, which was formed years ago by erosion, and loops back to the visitor center.
Many of the CCC buildings are visible along the path and are highlighted by a row of trees and a view of one of the original cedars of Crowley Ridge State Park. The plants on the Crowley Ridge can also be viewed from the visitor centre, as well as on the way itself.
The trail starts at the southern end of the picnic area and offers a variety of plants and animals. In spring there are many wild flowers, in autumn and winter a large number of wild flowers.
The easy path along the dike to the fishing lake provides a good vantage point to observe shore birds and see the bat quarters in the park. Fun wildlife education programs are available in Crowley Ridge, enjoy the teacher's day at school and let your students take you off to a wild time in the great outdoors.
All activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, bird watching, canoeing and other activities require registration at least two weeks in advance.
