About Silver Springs State Park

The park houses a cracker - a village, a museum and the Marion County Museum of Natural History.

Admission to the museum is $2.00 per person, but the park has a $1.50 entrance fee for adults and $0.25 for children. The center is operated by the Marion County School District in partnership with the parks and is open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The picnic area has three gazebos and a barbecue, which can be rented for group excursions. For overnight stays, there are two fully equipped campsites in the park, one for adults and two for children. Visitors can canoe on the crystal clear river or just sit and watch a variety of birds and animals.

The Silver River is one of the most popular waterfalls in the state of Florida and is a great place to kayak, canoe, fish and do other activities. Common sightings include black bears, coyotes, goblins and Florida black bears, but they are rarer in Silver Springs State Park due to its proximity to the Florida Keys.

The Silver River is one of the most popular waterfalls in the state of Florida and a great place to kayak, canoe, fish and do other activities.

P Paleo - Indians for over 12,000 years, the Silver River had its beginnings in the early 1800's when it became a tourist attraction and shipping center for the first time. The history of Florida State Park is not as extensive, but the land was purchased by the State of Florida in 1985 and transferred to the Department of Recreation and Parks in 1987.

The Marion County School District has opened an environmental education center for elementary and middle school students in Silver Springs State Park. All students in the school district, as well as students from other school districts, must participate in environmental education programs at the center.

Silver River State Park was opened to the public in 1987 and consisted of a road, ranger station and tent, which was the first public park in the state of Florida and one of the few in Florida. When park manager Robert LaMont arrived in 1996, he had no Park Ranger or OPS employees. Over time, the park staff has grown to include a park ranger, an OPS employee, two park board members and several volunteers. Central Florida's ecology is beautiful, but there's nothing like the Education Center.

The Silver River State Park Education Center, the only one of its kind in the state of Florida, is open to the public and is open to all visitors.

The picnic area was completed in 2003, the kayak launch in 2004, and the last four cabins were completed before work on the picnic areas and playground began. The years 2005 and 2006 were a great breath of fresh air for Silver River State Park as we relaxed and watched the construction work and visitor numbers skyrocket.

From 1985 until the present recovery, our main concern was to use the land sparingly and responsibly to ensure that the resources are there for future generations. We are in the process of recruiting a visitor service provider as we will offer a full range of services such as path maintenance, parking and visitor services. There are also plans for a picnic area, kayak launch and playground, as well as a water park.

All you need are food and personal belongings. From July 2008, bed linen will be provided, but guests are asked to make their own beds. The Silver River offers a variety of cabins, each with its own kitchen, bathroom and living room. Each cabin has an umbrella - in the veranda, a kitchen and a bathroom, as well as a shower, toilet and shower.

The ferry arrives at 59 campsites and each is very spacious and can be easily camped for the size you have. Each pitch has a fireplace, barbecue and picnic table, as well as shower, toilet, shower and shower. The accommodation units are very spacious and offer a wide range of amenities such as showers, toilets, showers and bathrooms.

Firewood is available at the Ranger Station and a separate landfill holding tank is also available. Each campsite is large enough to accommodate a large camper, but small enough to accommodate a family of four or even an individual.

Picnic tables, barbecues and campfire rings are available at all locations, as well as picnic benches, barbecues, campfires and campsites.

Reservations for organized groups in the park can be made by calling 352 - 236 - 7148 or online at Silver Springs State Park. The campsite for youth groups is located on the south side of the parking lot, next to the Silberquellenweg. There is a self mulched toilet on site, as well as picnic tables, picnic benches, barbecues, campfire rings and campfires.

The Silver River is one of the most beautiful and peaceful rivers you will ever paddle. It is bordered by Lake Okeechobee, Silver Springs State Park and the Silver Spring Trail.

The most popular starting point is at the edge of the trail, but the other option is to start at the end of the river path. With two starting points there are no limits to how much work you can get out of your trip. The ship will take you 6 miles from the parking lot to the river, and the ship will be carried to a 6-mile stretch of river off Silver Springs State Park.

Drive down the River Trail and walk about 6 km to the starting point where you can pick up your canoe. There are canoe rentals in the park, but you must pick up your paddles and life jackets at the Ranger Station.

The rent is one hour, based on the "first come, first serve" tariff, with a maximum of 3 hours of canoeing per person per day and a minimum of 2 days per year.

Pets are not allowed in the canoe, but there is a picnic area and there are also public toilets near the picnic areas. The toilets and showers are located in a loop around the campsite, with a maximum of 3 toilets per person per day and for a minimum of 2 days per year.

The floor is covered with a unique rubber mat that provides a safe surface in the event of an attack, as well as a water bottle holder for water bottles.

The picnic area has a picnic table, picnic tables and picnic chairs, as well as picnic benches and tables.

There is also a playground for the little ones in the area, or you can reserve a gazebo by calling the park.

Off-road cycling is allowed on 15 miles of trails, and foot traffic is divided into paths by a 1.5-mile stretch of the Silver Springs Trail and a 2.2-mile stretch on the South Fork.

The Silver River has cycling and hiking trails that wind through a variety of different habitats, and kiosks provide information about the park's amenities such as parking, toilets, picnic areas and parking on most trails. From Silver Springs Trail to South Fork Trail, the trails offer some of the best views of Central Florida, from the Great Smoky Mountains to the Oak Ridge National Recreation Area.

Along most of these trails, kiosks are available, as well as a picnic area with picnic tables and benches.

Well-behaved pets are welcome at campsites, picnic areas and on hiking trails, but owners are expected to keep their pets on a lead.

Pets are not allowed near toilets or museum huts, and the only exception is farm animals, according to the Silver Springs State Park website.

Silver River State Park is located on the west side of the Silver River, just north of Silver Springs, about half a mile south of Interstate 75. Take Exit 268 or Exit 352 to the south end of State Route 1, near the intersection of I-75 and Interstate 95.
