About Ferry Beach State Park
While highways north of Boston are commonplace, the beach offers travelers relatively safe and easy transportation. Take a look at the 100-acre area, which offers views of the Boston skyline, Boston Harbor and Boston's waterfront, as well as the city's historic waterfront.
A ferry crossing the nearby Saco River serves beach travelers, and so Ferry Beach State Park gets its name. Various guided nature programs such as hiking, kayaking, cycling, canoeing, fishing and hiking are available, as well as changing rooms, picnic areas and a picnic area.
Ferry Beach State Park is located on the west side of the Saco River, north of Portland, Maine. Dogs are allowed in the park, on the ferry and on a picnic area near the beach entrance.
