Breathtaking is Roaring River State Park, and young and old can take a tour of the trout hatchery and watch and feed fish in the spring basin. Other parking is available on a shaded picnic area with picnic tables, picnic benches, picnic tables and shaded picnic areas. The Roared River is known for its trout and other fish species, as well as its beautiful waterfalls and scenic views.

Seven hiking trails cover a total of 10 km, and the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center presents interpretative exhibits at the Roaring River State Park Visitor Center and along the park's trails.

Campers will find 187 campsites with simple power connections, and overnight guests can find a variety of options at the Roaring River State Park Campground and campsites at the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center.

Twenty to six rustic cottages with kitchens are ideal for families, and reservations for hostel cottages are required. Located at Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center, Roaring River State Park Hostel features a variety of amenities including an indoor / outdoor pool, picnic tables, a pool house and picnic table, and a full-service restaurant.

Whether you are fishing, hiking or relaxing by the pool, The Roaring River State Park has something for everyone who wants to return. Roared River State Park offers simple electric camping and services include reservations for landfill, showers, water and laundry, as well as a full-service restaurant.

Campsite 1 is open all year round, but Campsites 2 and 3 are closed from November to February 24.

Reservations are required for campsites 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16.

Tents must be reserved in advance for the period from 15 April to 15 October or contact the park office at 417 - 847 - 2539 to receive the registration. Each camp has a pantry, kitchen, bedroom and lounge, and there are a variety of amenities such as picnic tables, showers, toilets, fireplace, bathrooms and showers.

Emory Melton Inn is a stunning hotel with large, elegant and comfortable rooms and suites. Each room is furnished with a rustic flair and has a spectacular private balcony overlooking the river valley below. The cabins cost between $94 and $109 a night and rooms are available from March to October.

Conference facilities consist of four separate meeting rooms at the Emory Melton Inn Conference Center. There is room for all types of banquets, including conferences, weddings, retreats and family celebrations.

The swimming pool behind the park office is open on the weekend of Remembrance and Labor Day. It is open to all park visitors for a small fee and is located in the parking lot of the Emory Melton Inn and Conference Center.

The Roaring River, which is regularly managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation (managed by its Bureau of Land Management), is known for its great fishing and scenic beauty. Take your catch of the day to the park cleaning and fillet station and enjoy fresh fish for your next meal.

Fishing licenses and trailers are available at CCC Lodge, which also sells a wide range of fishing equipment such as fishing rods, fishing nets and fishing line.

Two picnic shelters can also be reserved for large family celebrations and special excursions. The property includes a picnic table, picnic chairs and picnic tables, and a small picnic area. Roaring River State Park Lodge has two indoor accommodations, each accommodating up to 75 guests. Both accommodations are covered and the park offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, canoeing and camping.

If you are in the area of Roaring River State Park you are visiting, we invite you to do so on one of the many hiking trails in the area. All these paths are open and you will certainly have a pleasant experience in every season.

The name of this path is derived from the strange rocky outcrops that form a space - like an enclosure. In spring, wildflowers are excellent to see along the trail, and the trail runs parallel to the Roaring River between CCC Lodge and Campground 3. The path is bordered by a small stream and a large open green area on both sides of the river. This room, which collapsed, was used as a hideout by civil war guerrillas.

The path is marked with blue and yellow arrows and there are no entry or exit points along the way.

The trail is marked with orange arrows and crosses a variety of habitats, including dry grassland, moist grassland and steep, upward-facing slopes. There will be points along the way, along the east and west sides of the stream and in the river.

From campsite 81, follow the river and climb to one of the highest points in the park. There is a ridge where lilac bushes and yucca grow, and the path is marked with yellow and green arrows.

Next to the waterfall is an access point on the path, the paving of which leads to a spring. From this point you can see the axis of the submerged water wheel, which served as a mill in the mid-19th century.

The old observation tower, located 1.5 miles from the nature centre, was built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) as a viewing platform. On the west side of the river there is a small waterfall and on the east side a large waterfall.

The entire trail is in the Wild Roaring River Hills area and offers rugged Ozark terrain and great views of the river and its tributary, the Arkansas River.

The trail is ideal for birdwatchers and photographers and leads to a picturesque view of the Arkansas River and its tributaries and is marked with yellow and brown arrows. The path passes a springhouse, which is used to keep food cold by cooling the natural spring water that flows from the rocks.

Conservationists regularly conduct nature programs during the summer season, and we offer slide shows, films, nature walks and much more.

Roaring River State Park is 65 miles from Springfield, and Joplin is 66 miles from Jopslin. Go west on US Highway and turn left or south on Highway, then right on Highway I-55
Take I-44 East from Exit 26 in Sarcoxie, then right onto I-44 to Exit 31 in Joplin and then left onto Interstate 55 to the Roaring River.

Roaring River State Park is 20 miles from Eureka Springs and 28 miles east of Rogers, Ark. Travel east nine miles on the highway, drive through the Arkansas River Valley and then west on I-44 to the Roaring River. Roating River is located 50 miles outside of Branson and 25 miles south of the state capital of St. Louis, Missouri.

Turn left onto Route R and continue west until you reach the park entrance or turn right or west onto the highway. Turn left on Roaring River Parkway and right on I-44, then right on Interstate 44, turn right and west on this freeway and then left again on Interstate 40.
