Kootenai National Forest is located in Idaho, on the border with Canada in the US state of Idaho and the Canadian Yukon Territory. Idaho is home to the largest national forest in the United States and the second largest in North America.
More than 20 hiking trails lead through mountainous and rugged terrain, which runs from north to south through the middle of the forest. Snowshoe A - Peak and others, ranging from 7,618 feet to 8,738 feet, provide a picturesque backdrop for Libby and the surrounding area.
