About Quartz Mountain State Park
Quartz Mountain Resort is operated by the Regents of Higher Education of Oklahoma State.
Enjoy the austere beauty of the Quartz Mountains and enjoy the artworks in the beautiful rooms and lodges.
The property is rapidly becoming a fun destination in southwest Oklahoma and also offers a wide range of activities including hiking, biking, canoeing, horseback riding, snowshoeing and other outdoor activities. On the northern shore of Lake Altussee in Lugert there is a 50-hectare riding stable for quadricycles, which is closed in the winter months.
There is a two-storey guest house, where each room has four original artworks, and the lodge is well maintained and offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, skiing, snowshoeing and camping.
The resort also features a heated pool with pool house, hot tub, saunas, a wellness center and a fitness center. It is also managed by Quartz Mountain Animal Sanctuary, with an indoor / outdoor pool, a dog park and a pet park - an inviting pet park for pets.
Quartz Mountain Flyer Excursions ask you to train for a day trip to the top of Quartz Mountain State Park or for an overnight stay at the resort.
Other group services include free hiking, spa and salon services, and a concession next to the property offers leisure rental. Rooms can be booked online or by calling 1-877-788-5555 for one night. From Altus, turn left onto Highway 44A, cross the bridge and turn right at Y, then right onto the road to Quartz Mountain Resort.
