About Umpqua Lighthouse State Park

Umpqua Lighthouse State Park is located in the heart of beautiful Lake Mariasee National Wildlife Refuge and offers access to a small freshwater lake. The campsite is accessible from the daily use area on the beautiful Lake Mariasee.

There is also a small sandy beach for swimming or just relaxing, as well as a picnic area with picnic tables, picnic benches and a large picnic table.

A small overnight campsite offers a beautiful log cabin - rooms with a bed, toilet, kitchenette, TV, VCR and bed. A deluxe yurt has toilets, kitchenette, TV, VCR, bed and is also covered and has a veranda overlooking the picturesque Marien Lake. The cozy cottage can accommodate up to four people and there is also a small picnic area with picnic tables, picnic benches and picnic tables on the campsites.

The showers and toilets are centrally located, and there is also a small picnic area with picnic tables and benches on the campsites.

The park is located within the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, which protects extensive sand dunes, and many tent enthusiasts have not yet discovered this beautiful and tranquil campsite. The dune, which reaches a height of over 500 feet, is a wonderful natural wonder to enjoy. The Umpqua River lighthouse overlooks the entrance to Winchester Bay, and the 65-foot tower has a distinctive lens that emits red and white flashes.

The lighthouse and adjacent museum are maintained and operated by the Douglas County Parks Department. Guided tours are offered from 1 May to 30 September and from May to September on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 pm to 5 pm.
