About Natural Bridge State Park

The natural sandstone arch from which the park takes its name has taken millions of years to form. The bridge is 1.80 m high and is located on the north side of the river at the entrance to Natural Bridge State Park, just outside the town of St. Andrews.

Each season has its own charm at the natural bridge, and each season has its own charm.

Hemlock Lodge is located on the north side of the bridge and overlooks the pool complex and the island of Hoedown. Hikers are attracted by the natural beauty of the park, the picturesque views and scenic hiking trails, as well as the excellent food and drink.

Twelve primitive campsites are also available and all are comfortably equipped and provide 82% of the site's services. Enjoy nature in the park and enjoy nature at the campsite of the park or camp at one of the twelve primitive campsites, all equipped with comfort.

The price for a campsite is $3 per night for a single person or $5 per person for two nights. One additional person (16 years and older) receives $3 per night and a $1 per day camping fee for the first two days.

Pets are not allowed and must be kept in the park throughout the duration of the trip, not only during the first two days. Pets may not be kept within 1000 feet of a campsite or vehicle.

Ten hiking trails from one - and - one - half to seven and a half miles, with a total of twenty - five miles of hiking trails.

Hiking maps are available at Hemlock Lodge, and the Nature Centre is located on the ground floor of the activity centre. Throughout the year, naturalists offer events and activities focused on native plants, geology and local history. Daily summer activities are run by recreational workers and are open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from June to October.

Natural Bridge State Resort Park offers more than just a fun family vacation: Pets are allowed at Hemlock Lodge and Nature Centre as well as Natural Bridge Lodge. The park is adjacent to the New York State Park System, and there are also many hiking opportunities on offer, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Appalachian Trail and many other trails.

A team of professional scientists is available year-round to offer interpretative programs, and the park also hosts square dance weekends throughout the year. The annual brochure calls it "the most popular park in New York State and one of the most popular in the country." The island is located in the lake near the lodge and is home to a variety of birds, reptiles, amphibians, birds of prey and other wildlife.

The ascent starts 800 meters from the entrance of the park and ends 600 feet above the natural bridge. Enjoy a ride on the Sky Lift on top of the ascent and spectacular views of New York City and the Hudson River.

The park is located on the east side of the Hudson River, south of New York City and north of Manhattan. The main entrance to the park, the Natural Bridge State Park Resort, opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and noon on Monday and Tuesday, and the pool is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday and Monday. This resort is also located in the same area as the natural bridge at the northern end of the city.
