Mailliard Redwoods State Reserve
About Mailliard Redwoods State Reserve
Millard Redwoods State Reserve, a 1,000-acre state park, is designed to preserve and protect the forest and its associated wildlife habitat in an essentially natural state. The total length of the hiking trails is 2.2 km and the road leads to the main entrance and parking lot of the park, as well as a parking lot for vehicles.
The only facility is a single roadside picnic bench, but it is not particularly impressive and the forests are dense with undergrowth and tanochenes. It gives you a good view of what the hills behind the tree trunks might look like, but not much more than that.
