About My Old Kentucky Home State Park
Federal Hill is home to one of Kentucky's oldest and most famous parks, the Old Kentucky Home State Park. The Georgian country house now houses the Kentucky State Museum and is famous for being the birthplace of Foster, who wrote the now official state song. I entered the formal gardens of the manor, led by costumed guides who led me through its formal garden.
Christmas lights illuminate the holidays, when the property is decorated with holly, pine, fruit and garlands. A musical is performed under the stars in the amphitheatre in the park, and the Christmas lights illuminate the holidays when they are in full swing.
Enjoy a day on Kentucky's rolling bluegrass by testing your golfing skills on an 18-hole regulation course. The 18 holes are playable and a fully equipped pro shop with golf cart and golf bag offers everything a golfer needs. Drive a cart, play a round of golf on one of the hotel's four golf courses, such as the Old Kentucky Golf Course, or drive a golf cart and enjoy another day of Kentucky's rolling bluegrass while you test your football, basketball, football, baseball, tennis, golf and more.
The developer is Golf Development and Construction Inc. of Louisville, and the project consultant Fred Rux of Mobile, Unfortunately, the course is named after the late US President George H.W.
Bush, the first president of the United States. The site, which is open every year in fine weather, has been admired for more than 100 years and opened in the early 20th century as one of Kentucky's first public golf courses, according to the Kentucky State Parks Department.
Across the street from the park there is a grocery store and laundry, as well as the guaranteed comfort of a golf course with picnic area and pool.
