About Paintsville Lake State Park
The lake features steep cliffs and wooded coves along the coast, and you can relax at any of the campsites, which have a variety of amenities such as picnic areas, picnic tables, showers and bathrooms. Next to your campsite there is a full service marina offering houseboats, pontoons and fishing boats for rent.
Paintsville Lake opened to the public in May 1984 and is located on the west side of Lakefront Park of the US Army Corps of Engineers. The park is located on 13,000 hectares of land leased by the USGS from the US Department of Natural Resources (USNR) Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and the park is part of an 11-year-old partnership between the state of Oregon and U, S., Army Corp of Engineer (Corps), an engineering company, which leases the 13,000 hectares of land. Built in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a recreation area for the Corps, Paintsville Lake is 26 miles long, covers more than 1,100 acres and covers an area of 1.5 million square feet (2,500 acres).
Fishing is an important sport in the park, and the Großhorn and small perch - the small mouth spots - are the favorite fish of the mountain lake. The waters of this lake are also home to a variety of other fish species, such as bluefish, bluefish, perch, pike, trout, whale, redfish and whitefish.
If you like fishing or just want to take a leisurely boat ride, there is a boat rental service at Paintsville Lake State Park. There is also a four-lane launch pad on the lake, and there is also boat rental in the parking lot at the main entrance of the park. Lake Paintingsville has an average depth of about 1.8 meters and a maximum length of 2.2 feet.

On the rugged cliffs that line the lake, you can find a variety of wildlife, and in the woods surrounding the park there are plenty of deer, squirrels, rabbits and capercaillies. Black bears are as much at home in this area as many other animal species such as coyotes, foxes, raccoons, owls, wild boars, wolves and coyotes.
The 32-sided campsite behaves like any other place with electricity, water and drainage connections, but without electricity, water or sewer connection.
There are also 10 primitive places, and toilets, showers and washing facilities are available in each, as well as a picnic area with a fireplace, picnic table and picnic tables.
The two RV parks are accessible for disabled people and disabled people, but pets are not allowed or are not kept, and they are not allowed.
The full service marina offers a variety of amenities, including slippers - covered slippers, kayaks, paddle boards and kayaks, as well as boat rentals.
Game watching is also possible, and there are two protected pavilions (two of them) throughout the park. Mountain Home Place is located at the foot of the dam on the west side of Painesville Lake, north of Mountain Home. The route follows the old Dawkins Line track bed, which runs from Hagerhill to Evanston, and the 18-mile route includes the Gun Creek Tunnel (which is 662 feet long) and a 1,000-foot bridge.
