About Cedarville State Forest
Indian tribes in fishing cat humps, which provide a mild climate and good wildlife and are a great place to hunt, fish, camp, hunt and fish.
The spring water of the Zekiah swamp is located near Cedarville and the swamp extends southward into Charles County and flows into the Wicomico River. The swamp is over a mile wide and serves as a wildlife refuge and is about half an mile wide. Indian burial site near Darville, which is said to be the burial ground for the head of one of the first tribes in Maryland, but has not been found until today.
The surrounding land consists mainly of agricultural fields, with the exception of a small part of the Zekiah swamp and the Cedarville State Forest.
The swamp was drained to cultivate, but is still forested lowlands, and drainage ditches are still visible. The swamp was drained in the late 19th century after being cultivated and forms the forest of the state of Maryland, according to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

Two gazebos with fireplaces can be rented for large groups, but prior reservation is required. There is a picnic area with picnic tables, picnic chairs and a fireplace, as well as a large picnic table.
The trail passes through a modest pine plantation built in the 1930s by civil defence with coal stoves, through agricultural land where springs and streams are used to generate moonlight, and then winds its way to the hiking trail. The road can sometimes be wet, so visitors using this section during hunting season should wear bright orange in designated hunting areas.
From Annapolis West, follow Route 50 to Route 301 South, then turn left at the traffic light on Cedarville Road. Turn left and take Route 301 South; a large white warehouse is located to the left of this landmark.
Cedarville Road, follow the above sign and take Bee Oak Road on the right, which will be the main entrance to the forest. Take Route 301 - 5 South, leave Cedarville Road and follow it, then turn left at the traffic light and merge onto BeeOak Road.
Turn left at the stoplight to enter Prince George's County and turn right onto Route 301 - 5 South, then right onto BeeOak Road.
In Washington, D.C., follow Route 301 to Route 4, then follow it south down Pennsylvania Avenue and then east onto Pennsylvania Ave. Follow Route 5 until you reach the top of Prince George's County. Follow Route 3, Route 1 and Route 2 to Washington and proceed south on Washington Boulevard, then north to Maryland Avenue or Route 6.
Once you enter Charles County, leave Route 1 onto Route 2, then Maryland Avenue or Route 6 north until you reach the tip of Prince George's County.
