About Greycliff Prairie Dog Town State Park
This historic site is for daily use only and is located in southeastern Montana, just outside the town of Greycliff, Montana in the state of Montana.
The prairie black-tailed dog community has been preserved and protected through the efforts of the Montana Department of Conservation, Transportation, Fisheries, Wildlife and Parks. Interpretive representations help to tell the story of these small but entertaining prairies and dogs.
The site is 98 hectares and is located at an altitude of 3600 feet, and the prairie dog parking is accessible to disabled guests. MUST be at least 1.60 m tall and no pets are allowed in the park, even if there are bees nearby.
Visitors are reminded not to feed the prairie dogs and it is located in the park area, not far from the entrance to the parking lot, at an altitude of 3600 feet.
