About Shepperds Dell State Park
Today I visited Shepperd State Park, the roaring waterfall of the Columbia River that flows steeply into Youngs Creek and is home to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the state. In the late 19th century, a local dairy farmer named George Sheppersd gave the city of Portland everything he had on a piece of land, along with his wife, to give them in exchange for his land.
