Nearby Hyner View State Park and Hyner Run is surrounded by steep mountains and is one of the most popular hiking and biking trails in North America. Originally designed as a warehouse for the Civil Protection Corps (CCC), the park was cut into a small valley by the surrounding steep mountain, creating a cozy, quiet place for family adventures.

While most of the remains of this camp have disappeared, the remains of its original campsite, along with some others, remain as a reminder of that time.

In 1944, most of the park was planted with red and white pine trees known as plantations. For more information on the CCC, please visit the online archive of the Civil Protection Corps.

Later, the park was extended by a campground, which was opened to the public in 1975 and later extended to all parks. The park was opened to the public for the first time since its opening in the late 1950s and early 1960s with the opening of the campground.

The state - funded by $1.5 million, five years, and $2.2 million - carried out the park renovation project in the late 1970s and early 1980s, funded by the state through a grant from the New York State Department of Natural Resources.

The modern cabins, each for eight people, can be rented all year round and each tenant provides his own bed linen and toiletries. Kitchenware and crockery are provided and there is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, as well as a laundry room and shower.

The sanitary landfill is located at the entrance of the campsite and toilets, water and hand washing facilities are centrally located in this area. The campsites are open until the second week of April and have 30 pitches, which are closed towards the end of the December season.

There is a large number of picnic tables, picnic benches, a picnic table and picnic area and a hairdresser's shop.

Unless otherwise stated, the large swimming pool is open every day from 11 am to 7 pm and the operating hours are 11 am to 7 pm. The large swimming pools are open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, except in the summer months.

The picnic area, which covers about seven hectares, includes 150 picnic tables, most of which are in full or partial shade. There is also a 15 by 15 foot paddling pool and a picnic table with seating for up to 30 people.

There is an unreserved picnic pavilion, which can be reserved for up to 11 months for a prepayment. A limited number of barbecues are also available, but they must come and be served first, and you can reserve them for $11 per month with prepayment.

This scenic ride takes you through the narrow valley between Lock Haven and Renovo to the Emporium on PA 120. In the park and the state forest are short walks possible, and there are many hiking trails, bike paths, mountain biking and cross-country skiing trails. The park is a popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers as well as for hiking enthusiasts.

Other state parks in the area include Old Forge State Park, Old Man O'Hare State Park and Ole Miss State Forest. There is a small part of the state forest that was once the scene of a Civil War battle fought in 1861 between the Confederate States of America and the United States Army. It is located south of Lock Haven on PA 120 and north of Renovo, Pennsylvania. Follow the path from the Emporium to the park entrance at the end of a narrow valley on the east side of Penn Avenue, near the intersection of Route 120.

There is a memorial at Young's Womans Creek near Bull Run, where the memorial commemorates the event. Hyner Run State Park is located on the east side of Penn Avenue near the intersection of Route 120 and PA 120 in Renovo.
