About Bledsoe State Forest
Bledsoe State Forest is located in the eastern part of New Mexico State, in a remote area in the north and center of Montana. The land was originally bought by the US State Department in 1907 and then again in 1919 by a private group of landowners.
In 1933, 6,656 hectares were designated as state forest, and a small portion of the remaining area is known as Taft Youth Centers.
The species mainly consists of mixed forests and highlands, and most of the populations are in the 40 - 80 years age group. The forest area serves as a breeding ground for tribes of different species to determine the best habitat for their offspring and breeding grounds for birds.
The forest has traditionally been used for hunting and a small amount of fishing, and in the forest hiking and horse riding take place. Fall Creek State Park is located two miles southwest of the woods and offers hiking, camping, horseback riding and other recreational activities.
