About Copano Bay Causeway State Park
The 5.9 hectare park at the mouth of Copano Bay in Cuseway State Park on the east side of the city of Cancun is the largest state park in South America and the second largest in North America. The fishing pier, acquired by the Ministry of Roads and Public Transport in 1967, was opened in the same year. In the late 1950s, the old dam was sawn off to ship the pier, which now measures 2,500 feet from the north to the south.
Copano Bay Fishing Pier is located on the east side of the city of Cancun, in Cuseway State Park, north of downtown. Nearby attractions include a beach, fishing pier and a number of restaurants, bars, shops, hotels and other attractions.
