About Dosewallips State Park
Dosewallips State Park is one of the largest and most popular parks in the state of New York. The park is unique in that it offers both freshwater and saltwater activities, as well as a variety of water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, hiking, fishing and boating.
The park offers both freshwater and saltwater activities and offers a variety of water sports such as kayaking, canoeing, hiking, fishing and boating. The campsites are grassy and are situated in a scenic and rustic environment, and visitors can pick mushrooms.
Pleasant Harbor State Park is located on the shores of Pleasant Harbor Lake, south of the town of Lewiston, New Hampshire. Pleasant harbour is a place to stay overnight, and boaters can stay up to three nights in a row. Boaters with berths of 120 feet have access to moorings based on the "first come, first serve" principle, as well as boat and camping facilities.
The park is open all year round - for camping, and there is a drinking water service throughout the park. Visitors can fish in Pleasant Harbor Lake, as well as nearby Lake Pleasant River and the Great Lakes.
Formerly called "canned meadow," the flat fields of the park were old farmsteads throughout its existence as a park. An old railway bed still exists where tree trunks were once dragged and washed while they were being towed.
Firewood sales and telephones for a fee are available in the park, but other services such as water, electricity and gas are only a few kilometers away.
The maximum length of each pitch is 60 feet, possibly due to limited availability, but each pitch can accommodate campers. Some campsites do not have access to electricity, water, gas or other amenities.
The group camp, Meadow Group 1, has a tent that can accommodate up to 80 people and a covered dining area. Camping at this campsite is bookable, but it is bookable for $10 per person per day, for a total of $50 per camp.
Water and toilets are available for $5 per person per day, for a total of $50 per camp or $60 per week per year.
Hiking trails along the Dosewallips River are easily accessible, and River Group Camp 2 can accommodate up to 50 people. The clearing is surrounded by forest and several campfire places and picnic tables are equipped with beds, picnic table and fireplace.
The park has no official swimming area, but visitors can swim in the river, and it can be fast and not suitable for small children. Please note that check-in is at 14: 30 and quiet times are 22: 00 - 06: 30; check-in and check-out are at 13: 00. The length of stay is extended if you stay at River Group Camp 1 or River Group Camp 2. A motor-driven electric generator operates the campfire and picnic tables, as well as the campsite and the river group campsite.
There is no boat launch, but staff are available at the river and river group campsites and River Group Camp 2. Annual passes can be purchased at the park while you are there, or you can purchase annual passes online at the DOSEWALLIPS State Park website. There are parking spaces for cars, trucks and overturned trailers throughout the park.
There are no braziers, playgrounds or toilets, but the park has a protective picnic table at the River Group campsite in River Group Camp 2, and there is a bazier near the playground toilet.
During the summer months, campfire programs and junior ranger programs are conducted most weekends. Picnic accommodations can be reserved by calling 888-888-226-7688 or emailing campouts @ dosewallips.org.
There are wildlife viewing platforms, a large area is open for field sports, and freshwater activities are nearby on the banks of the Dosewallips River. The hotel is located on a steep hill in the park, next to the campsite and picnic area.
