About Boysen State Park
Boysen State Park is one of the largest in the United States and the second largest in North America. The park has one lake, Lake Boysen, and two other lakes, Wind River Canyon and Lake Okeechobee, which is now part of Boyson Lake, a state park in upstate New York.
There are various water sports on offer, and there are daily camping opportunities, as well as camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking, boating, canoeing, rafting and other recreational activities.
Several state record fish were caught in the reservoir, and interesting geological formations have their own history in the area.
The Brannon water system is closed, but it is open in the summer months during the spring and autumn months and in the winter months. It is also closed in winter and spring, except on a few days in summer and early autumn.
