Arkansas, a natural state, is blessed with an abundance of geological wonders, and there are some unique geological gems to discover and enjoy. Here we invite you to look up to the sky and search for light, as a plowed field is home to an ancient volcanic tube that brings light into the semi-precious stones that happy visitors find here today.

The three most common colours that park visitors discover are white, brown and yellow, but the diamonds in the crater contain diamonds of all rainbow colours. The Crater of Diamonds State Park is a pleasure for stone dogs, as it houses a variety of rocks and minerals from the oldest and most diverse geology in the world. These rock minerals include gold, silver, platinum, copper, gold and silver - banded agate and many more.

One of the latest park offerings is the game "Blind Flight" at Crater of Diamonds State Park. A dirt road leads through the remote forest landscape for blind flights and provides the perfect vantage point to observe the game, which is lined by a series of small lakes and a small stream with a waterfall at the end.

Unlike other diamond mines, there are no finders and no guards in the park, so all finds are identified by park staff. All rocks and minerals you dig are yours and their value belongs to the owner of the rock or mineral you dig.

From July 2009, the park visitor centre will be closed for renovation work and until then, visitors to the park will have access to the diamond prospecting area during construction. The park's visitor centre has been closed since July 2008 due to the construction of a new car park and underground car park.

The Crater of Diamonds gift shop is located in the renovated visitor centre at the entrance to the park. Pets are not allowed in this park as long as they are kept on a leash under the control of the owner.

The gift shop offers a wide range of items for sale, including souvenirs from the crater of diamonds and other attractions in the park, as well as other items from around the world. You will also find a wide selection of food and drinks such as wine, beer, wine glasses, wine and beer glasses.

A fishing license is required, and licenses and trout stamps are available in Murfreesboro, Little Rock, Littleton, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, St. Louis, Memphis, Nashville and other cities.

It is the eighth largest diamond deposit in the world and hosts the largest single diamond deposit in North America. The diamonds are dug from a plowed sandstone field created from the eroded surface of an ancient volcanic tube.

On the way to the diamond search area you will pass the Diamond Discovery Center in the park. This fascinating interpretation centre serves as a gateway to the search areas and offers a wide range of information about the history of diamond mining and the discovery of the deposit.

You will learn about the three different methods of searching for crater diamonds and visit the park with the interpreter team. In this building you rent excavation tools and a sieve for your diamond search, and if you find a diamond, it will be certified. Come to see a park employee and come back in a few days to be identified by park staff.
