The clear, cold river water also provides fly fishermen with a great opportunity to test their skills on trout and perch. Camping on the banks of the Hudson River, just a few miles north of Housatonic State Park, gives you a true sense of nature.

Camping under the tall pine trees on the riverbank gives the overnight guests a real feeling of nature. Housatonic Meadows is located just a few miles north of the Hudson River on the east side of the Hudson Valley and is an ideal location for a variety of outdoor activities.

The clear, cold river water also provides fly fishermen with a good opportunity to test their skills on trout and perch. Fly fishing is limited to a 2 mile stretch of river including the banks of the park, but fly fishing can only be limited to the 2 mile long river and 1 mile long stretch of coastline.

Housatonic Meadow Campground offers 95 pitches in a rustic setting along the River Hous atonic.

The camping season starts in mid-April and ends on 31 December and lasts until the end of the summer months.
