About Caladesi Island State Park
Caladesi is considered the best beach in the country and is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in California and the largest sand dunes in the world. Beach lovers can swim, sunbathe, comb the beach and observe wildlife while hiking, paddling or kayaking along trails. Saltwater anglers can fish from their boats or throw lines into the surf and fish for crabs and other fish.
The park has a marina with electricity and water for boaters and also has a snack bar and a souvenir shop. Picnic tables and shelters are located on the beach and picnic pavilions can be reserved for a fee.
Recognised as one of the best beaches in the country, Caladesi is home to a number of popular tourist attractions, including the Caladei Beach Resort and San Marco Hotel. The hotel is located directly on the beach, at the main entrance to the park and borders the city of Caladesa, the city of Naples and Calabria, the second largest city in Italy.
Beach lovers can sunbathe, swim, comb the beach and observe wildlife while paddling or paddling along trails. Saltwater anglers can fish from their boats or throw lines into the surf and fish for crabs, crabs and other small fish.

Boaters can enjoy the 108-meter marina and drop anchor in calm weather, but must register before sunset. Marinas are not allowed on land and boaters must be registered by sunset, but can drop anchor and enjoy 108 meters of marina. The hotel is located on the beach, a short walk from the main entrance of the park at the southern end of the island of Caledonia.
Guests can call the ferry directly at 727 - 734 - 1501 to get a free ferry ride to the main entrance of Caledonia State Park or directly from the hotel.
Follow the canal markings to the marina in Caladesi Island State Park and follow the compass (which is about 212 degrees, about half a mile) until you run parallel through the Dunedin Causeway Channel.
How to forget Honeymoon Island in Orlando: Cross the Courtney Campbell Causeway, turn right onto the Dunedin Causeways and cross Caladesi Island State Park on SR 586. At the junction of SR 686 and SR 488, turn left and follow it to the south side of the road, cross the bridge over the creek, cross Dunedin Dam and drive to Honey Moon Island State Park where you will be taken to a ferry via Caladei.
Turn left on Curlew Street and turn right on Caladesi Island State Park Road, then left again on Caladei Street and then right again on the street.
Cross the Dunedin Causeway and follow SR 586 to Caladesi Island State Park Road and then turn right onto Caladei Street. Drive to Honeymoon Island State Park where you can take the ferry from Caladingi to Honeymoon Island and back to the Ferry Terminal where you can take a ferry across the causeway to Horseshoe Bay.
Cross the Dunedin Causeway and follow SR 586 to Caladesi Island State Park Road and then turn right onto Caladei Street. Keep right on SR 686 West when it forks left and drive to Honeymoon Island State Park where the ferry from Caladingi will take you.
