About Bobby Brown State Park
Located where the Old Town of St. Petersburg flourished in the 1790s, the park offers water sports enthusiasts a beautiful park. Robert T. Brown of the U.S. Navy died in World War II, and as a lieutenant, the park was dedicated to his memory.
Petersburg is located at the confluence of the Broad and Savannah rivers, which flow into Clarks Hill Reservoir, now a recreational area of the state of the art. Due to the low water level, visitors can see the foundations of the Old Town and imagine the large plantations that flourished in the Old Town of St. Petersburg in the 1790s and early 1920s.
Yurts, which consist of tarpaulins and wooden tents, offer a unique camping experience as well as a variety of outdoor activities such as kayaking, canoeing and hiking. The park is located on an artificial lake and offers excellent opportunities for boating, skiing and fishing, as well as a range of other leisure activities.
