Jane Hurt Yarn Interpretive Center highlights the history, art and cultural heritage of Tallulah Gorge State Park. This suspension bridge swings over a rocky floor of 80 feet and offers spectacular views of the river and waterfalls. Visitors can walk along the side roads to several lookout points or get up to go down to the bottom of a ravine.

The award-winning film also takes viewers on a dramatic journey through the gorge. The only legal way to get into and out of the gorge is to climb the steps to Hurricane Falls. Anyone is allowed to enter the canyon floor, but the stairs to the hurricane waterfalls and the canyon floor are very strenuous and can cause serious injuries.

The path that goes in and out of the gorge and leads to Hurricane Falls is very challenging. Visitors with health problems should not attempt to climb this route and children MUST always be closely monitored, especially children under 5 years of age.

Tallulah Gorge State Park is operated by the Florida Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DNR), which is under the jurisdiction of the state of Florida. Many facilities, including the campground, are operated in cooperation with the State of Georgia and the US Forest Service (USFS).

Hikers and cyclists are encouraged to wear reflective orange and permits for the Stoneplace Trail have been issued. Pets are not allowed on the way to the gorge, but leashes and pets are allowed along the way. Some paths are still allowed to keep pets on leashes, but not all.
