About Mitchell State Park

The lake is considered good for fishing, and boat rentals and barges have been on the lake for several years, except a few times in recent months.

Some of the trails are prepared for cross-country skiing, others are open for snowshoeing and snowboarding, as well as mountain biking and hiking.

The park is located in the city of Middletown, Ontario, Canada, about 30 km north of Toronto. The Visitor Centre hosts a hunting and fishing exhibition, which offers great attractions for visitors of all ages. The centre is open all year round and offers a variety of activities for children and adults as well as a wide range of outdoor activities.

Both Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell offer boat launch facilities that provide easy access to the water for recreational fishing. Mitchell Lakes and Cadillac are known for their fine whale fishing, and anglers can expect a wide variety of fish species as well as a variety of other species such as whale eyes, redfish, salmon, mackerel, pike, trout and more. Lakeillac, which covers 1150 hectares, is a popular attraction and sandy beaches are available as usable areas on the campsites throughout the day.

The canal that connects the two lakes and is connected by a canal for a quarter of a mile is a popular spot for children to fish in the park.

Playground equipment is available both on the campground and in the day area of the park. The day and use area at Lake Mitchell has a sandy beach, a jetty and play equipment.

The Heritage Nature Trail is about 2.5 miles long and starts at the entrance to Mitchell State Park on the east side of Lake Mitchell. The trail is mainly a woodchip trail with bridge and footbridge for an easy hike through the wetlands. It is actually a great path for a variety of plants and animals, including birds, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds of prey and even a few reptiles.

There are several local festivals that take place at different times of the year, such as the annual Mitchell State Park Music Festival on the first Saturday of each month. The park also has a permit - a seasonal hunting ground for deer, elk, elk, coyotes and other wildlife.
