About Cascadia State Park
One of the first things I noticed when I arrived in Cascadia was the peace, the park is quite large, but the picnic area in the west is open all year round and the campsite and picnic areas in the east are open from May 1st to September 30th. While the parks are a great place for an intimate getaway, there are barely more than two dozen campsites, making it a little too big for a fully fledged campsite.
Some trails offer the opportunity to explore the area, and a 1.5 km trail leads to the spectacular Soda Creek Falls. The park had a path that was used as a military road in the 19th century, but a new path has led to a much better view of the waterfalls and the creek itself.
