About Detroit Lake State Park
Mongold Day Field is one of Detroit Lake State Park's most popular recreational areas, and there is a public jetty where the public can dock. Mongold is open all year round - for a fee, in the area, Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 4 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm.
Mongold has a long history as one of the most popular recreational areas in Detroit Lake State Park and hosts some of the state's best hiking and biking trails.
120 parking spaces for vehicles and trailers are available, and for visitors camping on the reverent island, overnight stays are allowed. The park is accessible for disabled people and there are 60 parking spaces for wheelchairs in the park car park.
