About Chester State Park

Nestled in the tranquil hills of South Carolina's Piedmont, Chester State Park has been an oasis of tranquility and recreation for generations to come for the surrounding community. The park's 523 hectares include a 160-hectare lake, itself surrounded by a 1,000-hectare park and a 2-mile pathway system. Jon's boat rental is popular during the warmer months, but the park also provides a place to simply enjoy the tranquility of the peaceful surroundings. The civil protection department built this park and its work can still be visited and enjoyed today.

The building can accommodate up to 75 people and the rented conference building is ideal for meetings and special occasions as well as for special occasions such as weddings and funerals.

Three picnic huts are available for family and other group celebrations and can be reserved for $25 to $30 per day. The park is located on Highway 72, and Highway 97 or Highway 9 will take you from Chester to 77 or Highway 77 to Chester State Park from Route 77.
