About Croft State Park
Indian soapstone quarry, registered by a heritage trustee, is one of the park's cultural features, including its military history, including its history as a military training camp for the US Army.
Known as Camp Croft, the area continues to play an important role in preserving Spartanburg County's green spaces. The park also offers recreational opportunities for adventurous guests, including hiking, biking, camping, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding and other activities.
Six picnic huts are available for family and other group celebrations. Reserve a picnic at (864) 888-486-5555 or (800) 743-8477. Accommodations can be reserved for $25 to $38 per day and, if not reserved, guests can use them free of charge upon their first arrival.
