About Blind Island State Park
Blind Island is part of Blind Island State Park in the Cascadia National Park System in Oregon. The nature reserve includes a number of natural areas, such as a stream, a lake and a beach, as well as an open area for hiking and cycling. This park is part of the Cascade Marine Trail and is one of the largest marine parks in North America, covering more than 1,000 hectares.
The land of the campsite is the perfect place to relax a boat with human wind and is a popular destination for boaters who arrive with a boat driven by the wind. The campsites in the countryside are a great place to camp, fish, kayak, boating, canoeing and other activities.
Please observe the rules for shellfish and make sure you set up your crab traps in an area that is closed to commercial crab hunting. You have the right to present your shellfish permit and catch record to your person during the shellfish harvest.
The park is open all year round and is open from 10 am to 4 pm on weekends and 11 am to 5 pm on Sundays and 12 am to 3 pm on weekdays.
At the beginning of the century, squatters established household services, including the construction of small houses and warehouses. The lifestyle was mainly that of a hermit who lived off the work of fishermen, managed his small garden and his work, of which he still bears witness today.
There is a small spring built from a concrete pillar that is still there, and several holes dug by men into the rock, which were obviously used as cisterns.
In 1972, the building was removed due to its precarious location and the water was not safe to drink, so it has been removed ever since.
Visitors arriving by motorboat can use the island for day use, but camping in the park is not allowed.
The first - come on, first served campsite on the north side of the beach has four primitive campsites.
This site is part of the Cascadia Marine Trail and is limited to those arriving by human or wind powered ship. The use of these pages is only possible for visitors with a boat or other man-powered - wind-powered - ships.
There are four berths - all year round, and there is a compost toilet, but no bays, docks or floating buoys. Composting toilets are available on the north and south sides of the beach as well as on the south and west sides.
Visitors arriving by motorboat can use the island for day use, but camping in the park is not allowed and there is no drinking water on the islands. Blind Island is off the coast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, about 30 miles south of Boston.
Boaters can reach the park from the Cape Cod River starting point by boat to the beach at the southern end of Blind Island State Park. Kayakers should note that there is a hotel on the island, just off the coast, about 1.5 miles south of the blind island.
Note the markings and approach from the Cape Cod River as you approach the huge reef that is located in the area, about 1.5 miles south of Blind Island.
The best access to the island is from a small bay southwest of Blind Island, with land bearing the logo of the State Park. The buoy in the national park is marked, but all other buoys in Blind Bay are private and are kept privately.
