Lake Catherine State Park is set amidst the natural beauty of the Ouachita Mountains, with diamond lakes and popular hot springs in the area, and features a number of CCC facilities - facilities built in the 1930s by Civil Defense using local stones and wood from local stone and wood. The 18 cottages in the park are located on the lakeside and are equipped with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces and other amenities. Barrier-free access to the hut through a footpath from the main entrance of the park at the northern end of Hüttenstraße.

In summer, as in other seasons, park interpreters offer guided hikes, boat tours and programs on request. Guided excursions are offered in the summer months, and guided hikes or boat tours are available in summer and on request during any other season.

The private resort, also located on Lake Katharinensee, offers a variety of activities that park visitors can enjoy. Diamondhead Golf Course is one of the most popular courses in Michigan and is home to the largest golf course of its kind in North America. It is a popular destination for golfers of all ages and levels, as well as golf lovers.

The park's marina, which is only open in summer, sells bait and fuel, but boat rentals are available all year round.

Gifts, food, snacks and ice cream are sold in the visitor centre overlooking the swimming pool and the nature centre. The park has its own gift shop, the Lake Catherine State Park Gift Shop, which is only open in summer.

The cottage has a view of the water and has a maximum occupancy of 6 persons. It is air conditioned and heated. The accommodation has air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen and a full bathroom with shower and bath, as well as quakes for air conditioning and heating.

Bed linen, crockery, pots and pans are provided, and a barbecue and picnic table are available outdoors, as well as a picnic area.

The cottages also have private bathrooms and a telephone in the cabins, as well as access to a full service fitness center. Each cottage is tailored to the needs of disabled guests and each cottage has its own private parking and a garage for vehicles and bicycles.

The 1160 square meter cabins are inspired by the design of the original wooden cabins of Lake Catherine State Park. There is a screened porch with a view of the lake and accessibility - free access to the cottage is available. Each two-room cabin has a bathroom with a wheelchair-accessible whirlpool bath with showers, and a fitness center with fitness equipment.

Two campsites in the park have just reopened after a total renovation, and both offer a view of the lake and the forest. The area of the 32 campsites (camping area) consists of two main areas: the Lake Catherine State Park Campground and the Cottages Area. The 12 campsites, which are located on the slopes nearby, have been renovated.

Most of the parking lot is now 60 feet longer and longer, and improvements to the campsites include new lighting, a new fireplace, new picnic tables and benches, and new greening.

This campground, now classified as Class AAA, is one of the most popular in Lake Catherine State Park and the only one in the state.

Improvements to this campsite are two barrier-free campsites located next to the two existing bathhouses. Additional parking spaces are available at each campsite and the bathrooms now offer disabled visitors barrier-free access. This place has been littered with a number of improvements, such as the addition of a picnic area, picnic tables, toilets and a fireplace.

The trail leads through the pine and deciduous woods of the park to the top of the reservoir. 70 campsites are preferred, but two Rent-A-Campers offer a view of the lake and forest.

Spring and autumn offer a variety of wildflowers, plants and animals, and the streams and waterfalls are large enough to create solitude and attract the keen eye of a photographer.

Lake Catherine State Park is one of the most popular hiking and camping destinations in upstate New York, with more than 1,000 acres of open space and a variety of trails.

The trail starts at the campsite and crosses Little Canyon Creek several times before reaching a picturesque waterfall at Falls Creek. Finally, work your way back to the trail and cycle a short distance south along the stream before crossing it again.

Hikers can enjoy scenic views of Lake Catherine State Park from the Trailhead at Falls Creek. The trail is led by a small group of trailers and hikers, as well as some mountain bikes.
