About Collier State Park
Collier Memorial State Park houses a newly built pioneer village, an old railway, a museum and a modern lumberjack museum. Railway enthusiasts can learn about the role of the railways in harvesting timber. Download the museum guide and learn what the best logging museums in the state have to offer. No acrobatics, but great views of Collier's historic train station and picturesque views from the top of the park.
One can imagine moving raw wood with innovation and raw violence, but this pioneering village gives an insight into how families once lived.
The footage, which features old wood falls and other themes, shows a clear Spring Creek flowing into the park, then being painted as it flows out of the parks. The Williamson River is regionally known for its trout fishing and regularly produces trophy fish.
The series continues until Labor Day, so when you arrive at the park, check the time and continue the series on Facebook and Twitter.
Collier is a great adventure whether you visit the Loggers Museum or Pioneer Village, play in Spring Creek, ride the State Park Trail or are just a short walk from the park entrance.
