About Skidaway Island State Park
The historic savannah of the barrier island has both salt water and fresh water, with estuaries and swamps flowing through the area. The park borders the Skidaway Narrows, which is part of a coastal waterway and offers scenic camping and picnic areas.
Two nature trails wind through living oaks and long left pine trees, and visitors can see painted ants.
