About Edisto Beach State Park
Edisto Beach State Park, located on the North Coast of South Carolina, about 30 miles south of Charlotte, was originally developed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The highest palm trees in our state can be seen from the Ediston Park Island, and the 1.5 mile long beach is decorated with a variety of shells.
The 1,255-hectare park includes extensive salt marshes where visitors can explore the wonders of nature, as well as a variety of waterfalls, sand dunes and other natural beauty.
The park offers a 4 km nature trail that winds through the lake forest and offers a beautiful view of the salt marshes. The park offers cabins and campsites for overnight guests, as well as a number of picnic areas, picnic tables and other amenities.
