Beed Lake has some very popular campsites and a total of 99 of the 144 campsites have electricity connections. Beed Lake also has a very popular campsite on the east side of Beeds Lake State Park, near the entrance to the park.

Modern sanitary facilities and showers are available, as well as sanitary landfills, and half of the campsites are still first come, first serve based. Reservations for this campsite can be made online at the Beeds Lake State Park website or by calling 1-888-762-4357.

The sandy beach for swimming is located on the south side of the lake near the lodge and the dam.

It is a great place to enjoy the water on a hot summer day, and it is just a few meters from the shore.

Since 1934, Beed Lake State Park has offered visitors a variety of recreational opportunities. The focal point of the park is a horizontal limestone layer that drops abruptly by 40 feet and offers spectacular views of Beeds Lake and its surroundings. A special feature of this park is the similarity with the dam that crosses the lake from the lodge.

In 1857 T.K. Hansbury built the first dam for the water supply for the operation of a sawmill, two years later a grain mill, which was operated with hydropower. In the 1930s, the Civil Conservation Corps established Beeds Lake State Park, one of the largest national parks in the United States.

When William Beed bought the property in 1864, he built a long embankment along the shores of Beeds Lake, and in 1903 the mill was operational.

This beautiful lake that flows into Spring Creek is a year-round favorite fishing spot for anglers.

Perch, catfish and panfish abound, posing challenges for every angler, but Beeds Lake is an ideal place for family cuisine. Several berths and moorings are located on the southern shore of the lake and are accessible to visitors with reduced mobility.

The lawns and shaded picnic areas offer plenty of opportunities for relaxation, with a variety of picnic tables, picnic chairs and picnic benches available.

The beach buildings, built by the Civil Defence, in stone and wood, have been converted into rented apartments. The lodge is reserved and has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, bar, shower and laundry room.

Following the shores of Beed Lake, a 2 km long hiking trail offers visitors a unique hiking experience.

From the outlet, visitors can hike to the bottom of the dam and experience a cool, refreshing mist as the water rolls down the beautiful limestone walls.

This route can be used as an alternative to the main path from the Beed Lake State Park parking lot or as part of a multi-day camping trip.
