About McIntosh Woods State Park

McIntosh Woods State Park has a number of campsites that have been extensively renovated since the early 1980s. Each campsite has 49 pitches, 45 of which have electricity, and a total of 5,000 square metres of parking space.

Visitors to McIntosh Woods can stay in one of two yurts available for rent, and modern relaxation rooms and shower buildings are available. Half of the campsites are still open to the public on the "first come, first served" principle, but reservations for each campsite can be made online or by telephone at 1 - 888 - 746 - 5555.

Yurts, or gers as they are often called, are based on nomadic settlements in Central Asia and are covered in vinyl. Each yurt also has a bed, linen, bath, shower, outdoor shower and a framed door with a small window.

This holiday home has been treated as a holiday treat and is equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living and dining area and outdoor shower.

Clear Lake is one of the largest lakes in the state of New York and the second largest in New Jersey and is very popular with anglers of all ages.

McIntosh Woods State Park is a popular picnic spot and there is also a modern fish cleaning station to make fishing even more fun.

A 1.5 km nature trail runs through the heart of McIntosh Woods and the grassy and shady picnic area is a good place for a family getaway. An open picnic hut has been built in the park, which is available to park managers for a fee. A sign describes the different features of the parks and displays information about each park.

Ventura Access is located on the north side of McIntosh Woods State Park, south of the parking lot.

This area has an open picnic area, which can be reserved for park managers for a fee. There is a boat ramp and a handicapped-accessible fishing pier, and there is an access road from the park to the Ventura access point at the southern end of this area.
