The mouth of Thompson Creek on the Manistique River is a seasonal hotspot for salmon and steelhead fishing. Thompson State Fish Hatchery is just two miles from the park and is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. From there take the M-149 (N-3 miles) to CR-42 and then the E-1 / 2 miles to the parks.
