About Bulls Island State Park
Bull's Island Recreation Area is a small wooded island surrounded by the Delaware River and the Delaware - Raritan Canal. Camping is no longer allowed on Bulls Island, but there are several rare plant species in the wild. The path along the canal network path shows a floodplain forest dominated by plane trees, maples, tulips and poplars.
Take I-287 or Route 22 to the intersection of Route 202 in Somerville and then south on the canal system to Bull's Island State Park.
The entrance is on the left and you will travel approximately 6 miles north to Bull's Island State Park and then south on Route 202 to the intersection of Route 22 in Somerville.
