About Ryerson Station State Park
Ryerson Station State Park is located in the city of Ryerson, Ontario, Canada, north of Toronto. The 1,164-hectare park bears the name and is one of the largest public parks in Canada, covering a total area of 2,843 hectares.
There are 48 pitches (tents and caravans) on a ridge overlooking the park, as well as a number of picnic areas, picnic tables and other amenities.
The campsites are open on the second Friday in April and permits must be deposited at the park office. The campsite is open from 10 am to 4 pm. M. Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm and from 6.30 pm to 9 pm.
The rustic campsite is open from the second Friday in April to 30 September and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm. All sixteen sites have electricity connections, which are charged at an additional cost. Rustic toilets and sanitary facilities are available in the park office and on all campsites and in the parking lot.
The two cottages can accommodate up to 80 people each and have a total of four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two kitchens. The area has two cabins, one on each side of the parking lot and one in the park office, and can accommodate up to toilets, sanitary facilities and a picnic area.
The outdoor pool is open daily from 10 am to 4 pm. M. and from 12 noon to 5 pm unless otherwise stated. For more information about State Park and its connections to other state parks in the area, please visit this link.
The pool complex is accessible from the pool by elevator, which includes the outdoor pool, the indoor pool and the parking lot as well as the picnic area. Food concessions are located in the pool area and we have a variety of food and beverages available for purchase at the park concession stand.
A limited number of berths can be rented seasonally and all motor boats must be registered in the respective state. Non-motorized boats must have one of the following boat registrations in each state: USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Canada and the United Kingdom.
All facilities are accessible by boat from the parking lot at the northern end of the park or via the main entrance to the State Park.
The park has five picnic pavilions and a small children's playground is located in the central picnic area. The park also has a five-foot-wide picnic table and picnic tables in each of the five picnic pavilions.
The trails invite you to explore the park on foot in spring, summer, autumn and winter. The paths lead in ecological sequence through humid valley bottoms and are open to all ages and abilities.
There are no unreserved picnic pavilions, but all three pavilions can be reserved for $11 per month for advance payment. Whoever comes first, serves first and whoever comes first serves for the first three days of the month, with a $5 fee per person for each additional day.
The park is located on the west side of the highway and is accessible from Washington and Waynesburg, PA, and is accessible on foot or by road.
