About Penrose Point State Park

The park offers a variety of activities, such as hiking, biking, camping, fishing, picnics and much more. Anyone can serve as a guest in the park, regardless of age, gender, race, religion or whatever comes first.

The community has played a major role in the development of Penrose Point, and the spacious day-use area near the beach features a variety of amenities including picnic areas, picnic tables and picnic benches. The park has large stumps, springboards and notches, which indicate early deforestation. It was originally created from the swamp of the present-day areas of use and has a large number of old - growing trees as well as large boulders and large trees with springboard notches, which indicate early afforestation.

The name is a tribute to William Penrose, a Pennsylvania native who was president of Whitman College in Walla Walla from 1884 to 1934. Dr Penrose and his family spent much of their time at what is now the park and he was a strong supporter of children's recreational activities.

Thus, the indicated fee for primitive campsites and landfills applies only to parks that have them.

We will charge an additional $1 per night for the above heavily used parks, as well as additional fees for other parks.

Choosing a premium campsite in the park can cost you an additional $1 per night or $5 per day for a total of $10 per month.

In addition, you can camp in the park for $5 per day, for a total of $10 per month, for an additional $1 per night or $4 per day.

In summer, you can stay in the park for up to ten consecutive days and extend the length of your stay as you wish, for a total of five or four days. Check-in is at 14: 30, check-out is at 13: 00 and quiet times are 22: 00 - 06: 30. If you are camping with a second vehicle, this fee is included in your camping fee. Extra vehicles must be parked at a designated campsite with an additional parking space. If a recreational vehicle enters behind your second vehicle, you will be charged $10 per night for the second vehicle.

The campsites are located in the forest, the pitches are shaded or partly shaded, but none of them are directly on the water. The beach is just a short walk away and all campsites are located directly opposite the beach and next to the main entrance to the park.

A typical campsite can accommodate a combination of vehicles up to 35 feet and a few places can accommodate longer vehicle combinations. The road to the campsites is narrow and winding, but it is not bad for a small park and only a few places offer space for long vehicle combinations.

The park offers a number of booked campsites, where between 20 and 50 people can be accommodated simultaneously in a single campsite. Facilities include vaulted cabins, picnic areas and a picnic area with picnic tables and chairs.

There is a landfill near the entrance to the park, toilets and showers are located on each campsite. A toilet and flush toilet are located in the day use area as well as in a shower and toilet with flush toilet, which are located within the campsites.

The park has a 158-foot jetty, but there is no jetty, and the nearest public jetty is in the town of Home, 3 miles from the park. A short uphill walk leads to the parking lot of Penrose Point State Park, which is just a few hundred yards away. On the south side of the beach, about 800 m from home, there is a jetty.

The park also has a 270-foot boat dock, and the beach is accessible by boat from the parking lot at Penrose Point State Park, about a mile away.

Boats can moor overnight at one of the park's eight buoys or at one of the park's eight buoys at a pump. There are also berths, although the park does not have a mainland and boats can be rented on Penrose Point State Park beach.

The hotel is located at the intersection of Cornwall Rd. And Penrose Point Road, south of the park entrance. Cross the Home Bridge and turn left onto Cornwall Ave. , then turn right onto Cornwall Road and left again onto the road, left onto Cornwall Blvd.

Follow the road into the park and continue for about 1 mile, then turn left onto 158th Ave and right onto Cornwall Blvd.

Turn left onto Cornwall Rd, cross the Home Bridge, turn left and drive south on Cornwall Blvd for approximately one mile to the entrance to Penrose Point State Park.

Continue on Cornwall Blvd for about 1 mile and turn left onto 158th Ave and follow the road into the park. Turn left off Cornwall Road, cross Home Bridge, turn right on Cornwall Ave and head south to the entrance to Penrose Point State Park.
