About Joemma Beach State Park
Joemma Beach State Park is one of the most popular parks in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. This wooded park in Pugets Sound offers a jetty, water and hiking trails, and the area is an excellent place for fishing, boating and crabbing, surrounded by a variety of scenic views of Pugete Sound, Columbia River and Pugett Sound.
The park is open all year round - for camping with tents for day use, and fishing and crab attract visitors from as far away as Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Redmond, Olympia and Tacoma.
The park is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. M. weekdays and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., on weekends and public holidays and on public holidays.
The property was granted to Washington in 1889, when the state was founded to support a joint school, and transferred to the State Parks in 1995. It was renamed Joemma Beach State Park in honor of Joe and Emma Smith, who lived on the property from 1917 to 1932. The original recreation area was developed in 1961 and renamed on the opening day 1968 in Robert F. Kennedy recreation area.
The park has vaulted cabins, picnic tables, a picnic area and a swimming pool, as well as a beach volleyball court. There is also a parking lot for campers arriving by human watercraft (no motorised vehicles allowed), and there is 5 km from the main entrance of the park to the State Park.
Check-in is at 14: 30, check-out at 13: 00, and the quiet hours are 22: 00 - 06: 30. The maximum length of the site is 40 feet (possibly due to limited availability), but you can stay as long as you like at any time of the day or night. Campsites are served first, so stay longer And you will extend the length of your stay. The campsite is equipped with a motor-driven electric generator with a maximum output of 1,000 watts per hour.
There is a boat ramp and staff is available in the parking lot on the south side of the park, just next to the main entrance. Annual passes can be purchased at Jemma Beach State Park while you are there, or you can purchase an annual pass online at www. The parks have overturned trailers, trailers with a maximum length of 40 feet or more.
The picnic huts cost a fee and can be reserved for a maximum of 50 people, reservations are made at 888 - 226 - 7688. The unprotected picnic areas are always available according to the principle of "first come, first served." All parks offer accommodations, but please ask for the Penrose or Joemma Shelter, please make reservations by email or by phone on the Jemma Beach State Park website.
The hotel is located on the west side of the park at the intersection of Bay Rd. Drive approximately 15 miles and turn left on Highway 302 to Key Peninsula Highway, turn right on Whiteman Rd and drive approximately 4 miles. Turn right onto Bay Road and proceed to Bay Jr Rd, then left onto the road and proceed approximately two miles before turning right and proceeding approximately three miles to Jemma Beach State Park.
The asphalt struts in the park range from about 1,000 to 2,000 feet above sea level, with a maximum depth of 3,200 feet.
