Jarrell Cove State Park is one of the most popular hiking and camping destinations in the state of California. The wooded island park is off the beaten track and accessible by road or bridge, and is located just a few miles from the city of San Francisco.

Most visitors come by boat to Jarrell Cove State Park from the San Francisco Bay Area and other parts of the Bay Area and beyond.

Jarrell Cove State Park is managed as one of five other satellite parks, including Harstine Island State Park and the San Mateo County Park District. The park has campsites, docks and gentle grassy areas, and there is a 2 km walk from the jetty to the beach and a 1.5 km walk along the coast of the park's main beach, Jarrell Beach. The Har stines in the park are a park for daily use and have access to a beach with about 800 m of hiking trails.

Other satellite parks offer buoys and moorings, and the wooded islands in the park are easily accessible by boat. The park is open year-round for tents and day trips, with campsites on the beach and a 2.5 km coastal walk from the jetty to Jarrell Beach.

At low tide, the tidal flats are limited by tidal flats and at high tide by sand dunes and tidal flats with a total depth of 2.5 km.

The park is named after John Jarrell, one of the first pioneers to settle on the island, and his wife Mary Jane Jones.

Jarrell Cove State Park has 22 campsites with toilets and showers, and all other campsites are served first, whichever comes first. It is possible to book a day, two nights or three weeks on the number 888 - campout (8888 - 226 - 7688). Jarrell Bay was purchased in four lots by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the New York State Department of Natural Resources between 1953 and 1969.

The green space in the center of the park is located on the west side of Jarrell Bay, right on the access ramp to the coast. The campsites in this park are located near the access points to the ramp and the coast, as well as the parking lot for campers and other visitors.

The maximum length of each pitch is 34 feet, possibly due to limited availability, but toilets are located nearby in the park. In this park there are four campsites, each of which can accommodate up to 64 people, with a maximum capacity of 32 people per site.

Check-in is 14: 30, check-out is 13: 00, and quiet times are 22 - 00 and 06 - 30. Fees vary depending on the size of the group and the length of stay is extended. Group camps can be booked for three days each, for a fee of $5 per day or $10 per night. The park has a motor-driven electric generator with a maximum capacity of 1,000 gallons of gasoline per hour.

Mooring fees are charged for docks, floats and buoys, but no mooring fee is charged for docks, floats or buoys. Daily and annual permits are available for a $5 per day fee or $10 per night, with a maximum capacity of 1,000 gallons of gasoline per hour. The park has a parking lot with parking spaces for up to 10 vehicles and a total of 2,500 parking spaces.

Take SR-3 to Shelton North for 8 miles and turn right onto Pickering Rd and drive 4 miles to Harstine Island. Once on the island, turn left at the stop sign, drive about 4 km to the park and then right onto Main Street. Turn right off Pickersing Rd.
