About McMicken Island State Park

McMicken Island State Park is one of the most beautiful and scenic parks in Washington state and is located in beautiful South Puget Sound. It has a pristine bay where you can anchor and is home to the largest freshwater lake in the world, McMicken Bay, with a population of over 1,000.

Visitors can enjoy many hiking trails and visit active bald eagle nests, and there is a sandbar that emerges at low tide. Mussel populations are abundant and open year-round for mussel collectors - as are the mussels in the lake.

The moorbuoy is available for overnight stays, the park is open Monday to Friday from 6 am to 6 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Swedish sailors originally jumped aboard the ship and settled on the island that Lundquist named after him and named after him. A surveyor was sent to map the islands on a US map, and then gave it his name: McMicken. When Mr. Lundqvist sought legal action against the U.S. government over his island, he was told that they had no record of its existence and were acting as if it were.

The park has five overnight places, but they are only available during the day and only in the early morning and late evening hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

B berths, docks and floating buoys are available in the park, on the beach and in some other areas.

The park has no drinking water and no garbage collection, but it has to behave to drink - water and garbage collection.

The park is accessible only by boat, so visitors have to pack their bags and there are two toilets.

McMicken Island is located on the west side of State Park, just off the coast of New York State, about 30 miles south of Boston.
