About Lake Lurleen State Park

Lake Lurleen State Park is located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, north of Birmingham City and is the largest national park in Alabama and the second largest in Alabama. It is named after the only female governor of Alabama and was funded by her husband, former Alabama Governor Robert L.

Lurlein. As governor, she was responsible for financing Lurleen Park and other state parks, as well as for the creation of a number of other parks.

Facilities include a golf course, swimming pool, picnic areas and water park, as well as a picnic area, swimming hole, water slide, canoeing, kayaking, boating, hiking, fishing and other activities.

The cities of Northport and Tuscaloosa offer a unique experience for those who want to explore and enjoy local attractions and culture. No trip would be complete without a visit to the city's many museums, galleries, restaurants, shops and other attractions.

Northport also hosts the prestigious Rock and Art Festival, which attracts artists and craftsmen from across the Southeast. Lake Lurleen State Park hosts two major events each year: the annual Northport Rock'n'Crafts Festival and the Tuscaloosa County Fair. Both are usually held on the second Saturday in June, and for more information call 205 - 339 - 1558.

Lake Lurleen can be used in a variety of ways, from renting areas for activities to camping, fishing, kayaking, hiking, canoeing and other outdoor activities.

Park staff are not responsible for setting up tables and chairs, but tenants must do so. Tenants must also remove all tables before leaving the house and clean them up themselves after leaving the house.

There are several fabric sofas, chairs and benches, which are only available on request. There are no park benches, tables or seating that are located on the veranda or in the activity room.

All rooms are heated and air conditioned, and there are power outlets in each room. No food is brought into the room and barbecuing is not allowed in the building, but food can be brought through the door to the activity room from the veranda or the activity room on the ground floor.

Pots and pans with electric pans can be used to keep food warm, as well as pots and pans for cooking and a stove for heating.

Trash bins are equipped with an extra pipe, and there is also a faucet in the back of the building, but the toilet is next to the house if water is available. The only water source is the water cooler, but the toilets are side by side, so the only water source is water from the lake.

The tenants are responsible for replacing the tables and chairs as described above, bagging the garbage and leaving the room in the condition it is.

The cost of reserving the Activity Room is $75.00 per day, paid in advance, and the duration of use is 9: 00 - 21: 00. This price does not include any fee per person or day and tenants have the right to make payment as soon as they book, at least 30 days before the booking date.

Food stalls, including lunar walks and similar items, are allowed in the park, and amplified music systems are allowed as long as they are approved by the park administration.
