Little Talbot Island is one of the most beautiful and scenic salt marshes in the state of New Jersey. Its undisturbed salt marsh allows hours of nature study and relaxation.

The diverse habitat of the park is home to a variety of animal species, and you can see a variety of bird species, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds of prey, fish and reptiles.

Fishermen find excellent fishing in the surf and tidal currents, and the most common catch is tuna, salmon, mackerel, redfish, blue fish and other small fish.

Other popular activities include hiking, swimming, canoeing and surfing, and picnic pavilions on the beach are available to park visitors. The park has a fully equipped campsite with picnic area, picnic tables, swimming pool and beach volleyball court. Florida State Parks is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

Little Talbot offers many different natural habitats and is home to many bird species, reptiles, amphibians, mammals, birds of prey and reptiles. These diverse habitats offer the park an abundance of wildlife, and gopher turtles and snakes can be seen in and around the park.

The coast offers numerous opportunities for waterfowl watching, and the back of the island is a paradise for waders. Follow the Little Talbot Trail through a cross section of this ecosystem and you will be surprised at what you find.

The English general James Oglethorpe named the island after Lord and Baron Talbot and it was bought by the state in 1951 and opened as a park in 1952. As a barrier island, its only static aspect is its dynamic nature, but it experiences the forces of nature in many ways, such as wind, rain, windmills, waves, tides, winds, storms, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes.

Camping is offered at Little Talbot Island State Park Campground on the west side of the island.

Each campsite has a campsite equipped with picnic table, picnic tables, fireplace and water fountain.

Most of the places are beautifully shaded by giant moss - draped oaks and there are plenty of picnic tables, fire pits and fountains of water. Bikes can be rented at Ranger Station for $5 per day or $10 per week for a day pass for adults and children.

The campsites on Little Talbot Island are located in various locations on the island, most of them in the middle of the park. Most of these sites provide shade from the cool, cool and cool sun, but some sites have to make do with a power supply of 15 - 30 amps. Forty campsites are also located along the coast, with a total of over 1,000 campsites.

The landfill is located near the entrance and the main parking lot of the park is accessible from the main entrance of the island via an asphalt road.

Myrtle Creek, a picturesque estuary, runs along the western part of the campsite, and the two-bathroom house has a flush toilet and hot shower.

A playground is available on the campsite and access to the beach is about a 10-minute walk away. While camping on Little Talbot Island, make sure you take advantage of the beaches, explore the trails by bike, and buy fishing gear and gear from Long Island Outfitters. LittleTalbots Island campsites have a public car park with parking for up to four vehicles and a multi-storey car park.

With forty pitches, there are about 12, which can accommodate campers depending on the size of your campsite. Each pitch is equipped with a shower, toilet and access to the landfill behind the campsite gates.

The North Bath has a disabled toilet, sink and shower in the men's and women's rooms, and the South Bath has disabled toilets, sink and shower. The South Baths have disabled-friendly bathrooms, toilets and sinks in each of them, as well as access to the landfill.

Little Talbot Island has 4.5 km of beautiful beaches, and the beach is easily accessible with two parking spaces and 5 promenades. Three bathhouses with outdoor showers also offer beach enjoyment, as well as access to a pool and a jacuzzi for the disabled.

Swimming is allowed, but always be careful as lifeguards are in use, so always swim with a lifeguard and always be careful.

The Atlantic Ocean offers excellent wave conditions all year round - for those who want to catch a wave. Surfing is very popular and the beaches are easily accessible, but swimming is recommended.

The Fort George Inlet parking lot has disabled parking and ADA toilets are available in the beach and bathhouse parking lots and at the park entrance.

Talbot Islands State Park is located on the west side of the park, south of Fort George Inlet and north of Long Island Outfitters. The service is operated by Kayak Amelia and offers guided excursions to the beach, beach access, fishing, kayaking and other activities. Long Island Outfitsters is a popular destination for kayaks, paddle boards, scuba diving, snorkeling, rafting, canoe and kayak rentals.

If you have your own, there is an access ramp, and the concessions offer snacks, drinks, toilets and souvenirs. Kayak Amelia offers guided canoeing tours to the beach, beach access, fishing, kayaking, diving, snorkeling, rafting, canoeing and kayaking rentals. Guided tours include lessons, snacks and interpreting, as well as birdwatching on the paddle and guided paddle boards.

If you bring your own kayak or canoe, the cost of using the hand - Start at Long Island Outfitters is $1 per person, unless you have brought your own kayak or canoe. Long Island Outfitsters is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Wednesday from Dec.

Canoe and kayak rental is possible from 1 am to 5 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 4 pm on weekends. Guided tours include lessons, snacks and interpreting, as well as guided canoeing, kayaking and bird watching.

Little Talbot is a surfer's paradise with miles of beach, and the list of species caught on the beach is long. Long Island Outfitters is open from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends, but closes on Wednesdays in December and February. Kayak Amelia offers kayak rental from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday or from 1 pm to 5 pm on Saturday.

Ask at the ranger gate, have a conversation with one of the regulars and you should know what bites where. The marshes off the coast and back to the island offer excellent fishing opportunities. When the bottom is wrapped in flounder, you will find something to tighten the strings on, but you will not find it until you wrap the bottom around it.

Thirteen gazebos, which can be reserved, are available on the picnic area, and a limited number of bikes can be rented at the Ranger Station. If you prefer to ride on the hard packed sandy beach, you can also go by bike to the beach or stay overnight in one of the many cottages on the shore for a more comfortable ride.

Drivers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and no prior knowledge is required, but there is no need for a driving license or registration or any other form of ID. Guided tours include interpreting lessons, bottled water and snacks, and there are a variety of activities for children and adults.

A tour of Little Talbot Island is one of the most popular activities in the state of New Jersey for children and adults. Enjoy the true beauty of a hammock on the coast as a cross-country Segway unfolds along the amazing island path. A mature lake forest leads to the beach, and a small stream flows through the main entrance of the park.

The morning tour is nearly four miles long, taking you around the island, through the lake forest and visiting the Kingsley Plantation. The afternoon tour takes about an hour and skips the Kingsley section, but takes about 2.5 hours and starts at the entrance to Little Talbot Island State Park on the east side of the park. There are two types of tours for children and adults: morning and afternoon tours.

During the tour you will learn more about the history of the island and see the unique flora that is native to this habitat.

Little Talbot offers the opportunity to try a variety of hiking trails, tents and trails, as well as a range of other amenities. Just around the corner from our campsite, this nature trail, which shows the diversity of the island's wildlife, offers four kilometres of winding paths through five different natural communities, including maritime hammocks, beaches, dunes and marshes. If you want to explore the trail, you should always look up and remember to bring water, sunscreen and insect repellent. The trail ends its 4.5 km loop at the end of the campsite and winds through a series of four different natural communities, including a maritime hammock beach, a dune swamp and much more.

On most weekends, Talbot Islands State Park offers interpretative ranger programs, with themes and locations varying from day to day, week to week and month to month.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must always be kept on a lead and not left unattended for more than an hour. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, coast or promenade and must always be kept on a lead.

Pet camping is possible on all campsites, but pets must be kept under the physical control of a person, on a leash or otherwise. Florida law requires pets to be vaccinated against rabies, and pet camping allows this if possible. The laundry must not exceed 1.50 m and must be held in the hand and must not be more than 2.5 m from the beach.

Pets must always behave well and pets must not be kept on a leash for more than 30 minutes. Pets can be accommodated on the beach, in the parking lot or in a picnic area, but not in any other area of the park.

Pet owners are obliged to collect their animals and dispose of their droppings properly in bins. Pets deemed "annoying" are not allowed to stay in the park, then drive 17 miles east and park in Little Tallbot Island State Park.
