Amelia Island State Park is the only state park in Florida that offers a wide variety of activities, from horseback riding on the beach to hiking, camping, fishing and hiking. The park is just a one-mile drive from Jacksonville and is protected by a 1.5-mile stretch of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. The view of the original Florida offers visitors a view of Florida from the top of the island of Amelia, just a few miles north of Jacksonville.

Fishermen can catch fish along the coast, but most visitors come for the breathtaking views of the park. Visitors can also stroll along the beach, look for shells, relax and observe the numerous bird species that feed in the area. Nassau Sound stretches over a 1.5 km stretch of the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico in Amelia Island State Park and is mostly accessible by boat.

Guided tours are offered four times a day, and horseback riding reservations are available at the Amelia Island State Park Horseback Riding Center and Amelia Island Horse Sanctuary.

Located on the west side of Amelia Island, just off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Amelia Island State Park is the perfect place to see coastal birds.

In winter and early spring, rare stone and white-headed whales can even be seen, and in summer birds such as blue herons, plovers and terns (including the endangered tern) can be seen throughout the park.

Amelia Island State Park is one of the most popular bird watching destinations in the state of Florida. Note the signage that protects critical bird nesting sites along the coast, as well as the large number of bird-friendly trails.

Amelia Island State Park covers 3.2 square kilometers (3.2 square miles) and covers about 1,000 acres (1 million square feet). The beach dunes and the adjacent highland communities have the typical flora of a barrier island. Protected oats, a native species of grass, are vegetation adapted to the harsh, salty environment of the coast.

The highlands are forested with live oaks, red cedars and pines, and the undergrowth is dominated by yaupons, holly, wax myrtle and palmetto.

Amelia Island is part of the Amelia Island State Park on the southeastern coast of the United States, stretching from South Carolina to northeastern Florida. Sea islands are short, curved barrier islands separated from each other by bays or separated from the mainland by well-developed marshes and estuaries. Marine islands consist of small islands in the Gulf of Mexico and a small number of smaller islands off the coasts of Florida and Georgia.

The core of the Pleistocene sediments on the island of Amelia has a distinctive soil profile, consisting of fine sand and little shell material. Unsorted sand, mud and stratified mussels overlay older material and form loam and clay stains.

The island is home to ecologically important habitats that are constantly changing due to erosion and sediment formation. The barrier island is part of a dynamic system that creates a natural barrier between the island and the rest of the state, and between the sea and the ocean.

The physical geography of the beaches on Amelia Island is incompatible with other barrier islands, as is evident in Amelia Island State Park. There is no direct link between the island and the rest of the Florida Barrier island system, but there is a strong link to the ocean and other islands in the Atlantic.

These dynamic forces change the shape of the coast, as the sand is removed in an endless cycle, so that a walk along the beach in September can be a very different experience from that in April.

Amelia Island State Park offers 200 hectares of undeveloped ocean islands for recreation and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The beach can be a great place for fishing, mussel hunting, fishing and observing the natural beauty of the ocean and its many species of marine life.

Long Island Outfitters is one of the most popular kayak rentals in New York State. Kayak Amelia is located in the parking lot of Amelia Island State Park on the east side of Long Island City. The property provides local information, including information about the park and desired experiences with kayaking, fishing and other recreational activities. They offer guided tours of Amelia and a variety of other activities such as fishing, boating, camping and fishing.

Guided tours include lessons, snacks and interpreting, and canoe and kayak rentals on site. Kayak Amelia offers guided kayaking, canoeing, fishing, boating, birdwatching and bird watching. Bring your own or use the handramp for a $1 per person and paddle to the end of the park. The discounted prices include snacks, drinks, toilets and souvenirs, as well as access to toilets.

Fishing is popular in Nassau Sound, which stretches the entire length of Amelia Island State Park, from the coast to the beach, and is a popular destination for kayaking and canoeing, boating, fishing, bird watching and birdwatching. Long Island Outfitters is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, but is closed on Wednesdays in December and February. Kayak Amelia is considered the most popular kayak park in New York State, with more than 1,000 kayaks and canoes.

Many different fish species can be caught, redfish and sea trout are available all year round, but in spring and autumn there are even more. Popular baits include mullets and shrimp, which can be caught either along the coast or by casting a net. The fishing pier is closed to traffic and offers fishermen the opportunity to wet their lines in the hope of catching the next record fish for tonight's dinner.

Artificial baits such as mullet and shrimp, redfish and sea trout are also very popular, as are turnips, crabs, shrimps and other small fish.

The tarpon follow the mullets and cross them before migrating to more southern waters. At the southern end of the fishing bridge is the Nassau Sound Bait & Tackle, a popular fishing and bait fishing destination.
