About Smith Rock State Park
Smith Rock State Park is the ideal place to enjoy climbing, mountain biking, hiking and other outdoor activities. The park has several thousand climbs, more than a thousand of which are cordoned off along one of the state's most popular hiking trails, the Rock Trail.
Due to the uniqueness and fragility of the park, park rangers enforce line laws and strongly encourage park visitors to stay away from the path and enforce line laws. It also offers miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, and as you travel through the canyons you can admire some of Australia's most spectacular views, such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Grand Canyon and the Pacific Ocean.
Note: Open fires are prohibited at all times, but there are designated places for cooking with propane or gas stoves. There is nowhere else to cook in the park and there is no designated place to camp or camp in Smith Rock State Park.
Smoking is only allowed in vehicles, and gas lamps are also prohibited, as are smoking in public places such as car parks and car parks.
