About The Cove Palisades State Park
Cove Palisades State Park is a year-round family destination, but in a high desert region, the weather is as hot and humid in summer as it is in winter.
The park is perched on high cliffs surrounded by beautiful Lake Billy Chinook and has fully equipped campsites for camping, fishing, hiking, camping and hiking.
Nature lovers will find nearly 10 km of hiking trails that provide easy access to Lake Billy Chinook, Canada's largest freshwater lake. Rustic log cabins along the lakeside are also available in the park, as well as a number of small campsites and a variety of picnic areas.
The park hosts two popular special events on selected weekends of the year, June and July.
Kayaking tours are offered weekly throughout the summer, and kayaking trips to Lake Billy Chinook in the winter months. Get to know the water levels and experience the beauty of this beautiful freshwater lake on a kayaking tour.
