The park is easily accessible from I-81 and visitors should take Exit 37 (PA 233). South and drive eight miles. The two lakes in the park are Laurel Lake with 25 hectares and Fuller Lake with 1.7 hectares. It is steeped in natural and historical features and is located in a wooded area with steep hills and steep cliffs, a stream and a number of lakes.

Hiking in the park and in the nearby State Forest offers a variety of hiking and mountain biking trails as well as cross-country skiing trails. While some of the trails are designated for cross-country skiing, in winter, when it snows heavily, there are numerous opportunities on the surrounding state forest.
