About Little Buffalo State Park
Little Buffalo State Park is a place where people have been meeting for centuries and a new modern swimming pool has been opened. The park is steeped in history with its hiking trails, historic buildings and historical features. Historical features include a covered bridge, a restored water mill and an old farmhouse built on the site of a colonial tavern. Little Buffalo State Park and is home to a number of historic sites, including the Old Town Hall and Old Town Hall, as well as some of the oldest buildings in the area.
The opening hours are from 11 am to 7 pm, the swimming pool is open on weekends from 10 am to 5 pm and on weekdays from 1 pm to 6 pm.
Use of the pool can be unlocked for an admission fee of $5 for adults and $3 for children under 18.
There are two public boat moorings on the north side of Holman Lake, and electric and non-motor boats are allowed. All motor boats must have a boat registration in the respective state and all non-motorized boats must have one of the following boat registrations in each state.
Private boat moorings are available from April 1 to November 1 for a fee, and canoes, rowing boats and pedal boats are also available on the south side of Holman Lake in the parking lot next to the swimming pool. A boat rental service is located next to our swimming pools and is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, unless otherwise stated.
Many picnic tables offer a beautiful view of the lake, most in the shade of beautiful oaks, maples and ash trees and many more by the stream.
The picnic area is open from 8 am until sunset and consists of a large, shady lawn surrounded by a swimming pool. Charcoal barbecue areas are scattered around the picnic areas and there are many picnic tables, picnic chairs and a picnic table on the beach.
The beach is open from 8 am to sunset and from 9 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm for picnics.
The East Picnic Area, located in the Little Buffalo Historic District, has two picnic pavilions, one on the east side of the beach and the other on the west side of the beach. The Main Picnick Area is closed from November to April, but the picnic pavilion inside can accommodate up to 80 people and can accommodate 50 people. On the west side, near the Main Picnic area, there is a picnic area with picnic tables, picnic benches and picnic chairs, and an outdoor seating area.
On the east side of the beach in the Little Buffalo Historic District there is a picnic pavilion, which is reserved for 11 months under the number 888 - PA - PARKS. First-time visitors are served, free of charge, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays, July to October.
Little Buffalo State Park offers a variety of educational programs for children, adults and families as well as adults. Guided hikes and campfire programs will help participants gain a deeper understanding of natural and cultural resources, such as the history of the Little Buffalo Historic District.
Curricula and environmental education programs are available to schools and youth groups, as well as a variety of outdoor activities for adults.
Programs are offered throughout the year, many of which are on display at the Shoaff Mill, with over 12,000 visitors visiting the mill each year. Group programmes can be arranged by phone or at the park office, but must be arranged in advance.

The Craftsmen's Festival takes place on Saturday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features people from all over the world and live performers. Visitors will find a variety of craftsmen who weave baskets, pottery, ceramics, woodworking and much more. Entertainers include singers, storytellers, bands, clowns and magicians. Over 60 craftsmen will demonstrate their skills in a wide range of styles, styles and styles of craftsmanship, as well as live entertainment.
The two-day event is organized by the Perry County Council for the Arts and typically attracts several thousand people to Little Buffalo State Park in the town of Perry, about 30 miles south of Buffalo.
Admission is free, but the festival will take your palate back to the mid-19th century. The festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Shoaff Mill in Little Buffalo State Park, and the apples will be pressed in an old water press. From the front of the "Shoaff's Mill" you can see and taste how apple butter is cooked in large copper kettles.

Thousands of lights and holiday details define the East Picnic Area and create the perfect holiday atmosphere. Family-oriented activities have become a popular holiday activity, with activities starting at 6pm with a Christmas walk. The programs, which run every Saturday from Halloween to the EastPicnic area, offer a variety of activities for children and families, from children's activities to family-friendly activities.
On many evenings, the local choir sings Christmas carols, the club sells biscuits and hot chocolate, Santa always comes and a local band plays Christmas music.
From 6 - 9 p.m., take the Newport Exit, follow PA Route 34, turn right to the parking lot of Little Buffalo State Park, then turn left and follow this to your car. This programme is open to all ages and abilities and adults from 6.30 am to 7.15 pm, Monday to Friday and from 9.00 am to 11.45 am, Saturday and Sunday, from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm and from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm.
